Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert (JALBCA) was founded in 1992. A small group of judges and lawyers started it. They were all affected by breast cancer. Some were survivors, while others had family members or close friends who were.
The mission of JALBCA is to use their legal skills and resources. They aim to raise awareness about breast cancer. They also support early detection, treatment, and legal services for those affected by the disease.
The organization offers programs that teach legal professionals about important medical, legal, and personal issues related to breast cancer. It also supports the breast cancer community by funding key legal counseling programs.
Judith Livingston and the law firm of Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore believe in giving back. They help their New York community through sponsorships, volunteer work, and donations. She was a co-president of JALBCA from 2006 to 2009. As a board member of JALCBA, she still works to unite the legal community in New York City. They fight against breast cancer together.
