Joseph Fortunato joined the KDLM New York Personal Injury Lawyer team in 2020 and has been a tremendous asset in serving our New York clients and their families.
Joseph handles general liability cases, with an emphasis on negligence and construction accidents. Still, his portfolio also includes a breadth of personal injury cases, ranging from car and truck accidents to dog bites. He takes pride in his ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients and their families based on empathy, trust, and hard work.
Before joining KDLM, Joseph served as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. He acted as lead counsel on numerous trials, investigated and indicted hundreds of crimes ranging from robbery to murder. He then represented some of the largest developers and construction managers in New York State on general liability and construction accident claims before deciding to pursue a career in personal injury, representing individuals involved in horrific accidents.
Joseph graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2012 and from Pace University School of Law in 2015. He joined the New York State Bar Association in 2016 and has been listed in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.
Joseph is known for his work ethic and outgoing personality. He is a go-getter who looks forward to the opportunity to engage with clients and develop individualized case strategies based on investigations, site visits, and initial evaluations.
