Joseph Fortunato joined the KDLM New York Personal Injury Lawyer team in 2020 and has been a tremendous asset in serving our New York clients and their families.

Joseph handles cases involving general liability with an emphasis on negligence and construction accidents, but his portfolio includes a breadth of personal injury cases ranging from car and truck accidents to dog bites. He takes pride in his ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients and their families based on empathy, trust, and hard work. 

Prior to joining KDLM, Joseph served as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. He acted as lead counsel on numerous trials, investigated and indicted hundreds of crimes ranging from robbery to murder. He then went on to represent some of the largest developers and construction managers in New York State in general liability and construction accidents before deciding to pursue a career in personal injury, representing individuals involved in horrific accidents.

Joseph graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2012 and went on to graduate from Pace University School of Law in 2015. He joined the New York State Bar Association in 2016 and has been listed in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.

Joseph is known for his work ethic and outgoing personality. He is a go-getter who looks forward to the opportunity to engage with clients and develop individualized case strategies based on investigations, site visits, and initial evaluations.
